Review summary

The Captain chose to not stop at George Town, Grand Cayman. This was a very big Disappointment. This was the main reason for the trip. We will think twice before going on another Holland American Cruise.

I agree that safety should always come first. The problem in this case was we watched 4 other ships passengers being brought to shore by the large tenders from the island. Our Captain chose to utilize the ships small boats as tenders, which the Captain decided it was too rough for. The staff informed us that our ship had failed to reserve the shore based tenders in advance and there were now none available. Because of this oversight we were all given $100. onboard credit person.

Don't blame the cruise line! We have missed Grand Cayman a few times because they're unable to run their tender boats. It's the chance you take going to the Caribbean. During Hurricane Season we have had our entire itinerary completely backwards. Just turns into another sea day which is better than another day at work

If the weather was bad and since i know that is a tender port then your captain was wise in skipping it.
