cabanas on the pool deck cramped others using the pool and those cabanas were very warm and humid (not sure why anyone would rent them), close-up presentations by officers and entertainers were a hit - great extra

Ship Quality

layout was adequate for a smaller ship, quick access to key locations - no grand staircase - but who needs one. Cleanliness was top shelf.
Cabin / Stateroom

Size works for a 7-day trip. Not a lot of room around a queen size bed and not a lot of room between the bath and the storage cabinets across from it. The bath is okay, the lounge area is okay and the balcony is okay.
Ship tip
The ship was built in 2010 and does show its age. It entered a 14-day drydock on 12/3/2023. So, it is expected to be refurbished for Christmas 2023. Hopefully the air conditioning controls will be fixed. Bring sweaters just in case.
To avoid the craziness of embarkation crowds, spent the night at Hilton Marina Ft Lauderdale and parked at Rideaway lot (with free shuttle service). Weeklong parking was under $100. Hilton and Renaissance Hotels are under 2 miles from Terminal 26 where HAL docks.
