I had a a most memorable time and highly recommend Holland America cruise line.
Embarkation

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Most of the time I ate in the main dining room which was exceptional. Waiter Gede is one of the very best I have encountered on any of the 6 cruise lines upon which I have sailed. He was respectful, friendly and exquisite in his response to every request. The Lido buffet is very good with many dining options. The serving staff is very attentive, friendly and anticipates every need.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There are a variety of activities to suit many different interests.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The stage shows were very good mix of music, dance, choreography, and comedy.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room steward, Budi, always had a warm smile, greeting in my going and coming. Each time I returned to my room it was immaculate. My dining room waiter, Gede, always smiled with respectful greeting and positively responded to each request. Photographer, Imam, is an artist. He really knew how to put me at ease and the result was the best portrait I have ever had done in my entire life.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was always clean from one end to the other. The staff is remarkably efficient. I know the ship was going into dry dock after all passengers departed so the tendency might be to slack off a bit but I did not see anything to indicate that was the case. It was as if they were keeping the ship immaculate for the next set of passengers.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
I usually opt for an inside cabin but this time I went for the room with a balcony. It was delightful. There was plenty of room, fold out couch, larger TV with many movies on demand. The balcony was approximately 5' x 10', a very nice view going to and leaving ports.
Ship tip
Book it because it is a very nice ship for those who want a quiet, relaxing cruise.
The national museum on the waterfront is a must see. There are so many displays and activities within a small building. I learned an amazing amount of history.
The museum was interesting but would have been more so if the displays had more English explanations. It was only partially English while entirely Spanish. I learned quite a lot about the history of the island.
