Review summary

The cruise was wonderful a little disappointed we never got to go Jamaica the ship was not able to dock. However we were a group of 4 women and we made the best of the situation. We enjoyed each others company and made the best of the situation. Overall our cruise to Jamaica was disappointing that we didn’t get to see the island but we can always try again. Was relaxing and the 4 of us laughed and enjoyed our time on the ship. Thank goodness for the thermal spa!

You didn't miss much in Falmouth. The dock area has nice but expensive shopping. You don't want to walk outside the gate, especially as a small group of ladies.

We were on Nieuw Amsterdam in 2018 before Covid. Loved it. Couldn’t ask for a more friendly crew. They were all fantastic especially our cabin steward and the buffet crew. Always smiling and there to help. Food was absolutely delicious. Didn’t care for the shows and not much to do at night but that’s not why we cruise. Our ports were wonderful. Holland America is geared for us elder people so we loved it. Piped in music, no loud bands or dj’s. The Dive-in near the pool had the best hamburgers we’ve ever had. They also have hotdogs and fries.
