This is our 4th relocation cruise to/from Vancouver, Canada. They are inexpensive, but still lots of fun. We will do more.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Boarded in San Diego. Most of the passengers were already on board, as they boarded at a previous port (in Florida). No lines, no wait.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was the best we have had in 23 cruises. Lots of sea food. Really great quality. The buffet; this is only the second cruise we have been on that the (plastic gloved) ship staff spoons up the buffet item; the passengers dont touch the spoon or serving utensil.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
This is an outdoor bar with overhead protection. It is the only place on the ship that one can smoke. Our server remembered our names, our favorite drink, teased us on the card games we were playing, and automatically brought warm lap blankets when it was chilly.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Guitar Musician in the main stage was fantastic. There wasnt quite enough to do during sea days. Need more activities (as in, more trivia contests, more days of bingo, etc).
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Every single employee was smiling, curteous, and said more than just 'hello'.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Cleanest ship we have been on, and we have been on 23.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Tad small, but thats what you expect when you choose the least expensive room possible.
Ship tip
This was the first time we ever saw that the cruise line has custom carpets, that display a ship, with the bow pointed in the right direction. At every elevator, these ships-in-the-carpet made it really easy to get your bearing as to which was was 'forward' and which way is 'aft'. Believe me, it can get confusing sometimes.
That's great you enjoyed it, I will be there next year for an Alaska cruise. I hope I enjoy the place like you have, it been over 14 years since I visited the city itself, never been to the cruise port.
