Review summary

I was very disappointed with entertainment, food, and lack of fun activities. I would only recommend this cruise to older people who are looking for peace and quiet, and not activities. I became very bored after a week, as did most people I talked to, so I am not sailing with Holland again. For the cost of the cruise it was not worth it.

Dining room was horrible. Buffet was better, but mediocre at best. Many foods especially fish was too salty. Food was put out too long before buffet opened, therefore dried out and hard.

Ship dancers and singers were not very good. Shows were so bad people were walking out.

Waiters and room stewards were very good. Mgmt was excellent in helping with problems. Guest relations employees were not as friendly as on other lines.

Ship tip

After a few days it became very boring, as there is nothing fun to do on this ship. Also everything closes down too early. You cannot get in hot tub or pool, or find anything to drink after 10:00.

I think people need to make their own fun. If you’re bored on a cruise, you just don’t know how to have a good time. HAL has plenty of activities and wonderful music venues and shows in the evening. 🍸

The dancers on this ship were the best we’ve seen on any cruise ship! There was a lot of talent up there and mist of them have College degrees in dance!
