Embarkation

Efficient. Got us on board quickly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The staff in main dining room were excellent. But the dining room wasn’t open for lunch and the so called cafeteria was a joke. A little area stuck in a corner where one could get a slice of pizza or sad looking sandwiches for lunch. I guess they wanted you to go to their specialty restaurants.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Because of June Gloom it was too cold to use or even sit out by the pool during the day. When we went in at night we were told by lifeguard to leave as there had been “a vomiting incident” in the pool. Yuck. Miniature golf was fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Both of the evening shows were excellent. It was amazing to see an ice show on a ship. All the performers were good. The main theater very nice.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
We never did find the teen club or anything special for my 14 year old granddaughter to do.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Mixed review. Dining room staff excellent. Room steward horrible. First day did not get room cleaned at all. On last night he made the bed. Did not remove dirty glasses. Removed our dirty towels but did not replace them with clean ones! Made a towel figure for the bed but no other towels at all! Not even a wash cloth!

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship appeared old and needed maintenance. Paint on balcony was peeling.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Stateroom was spacious. Had lots of storage. Bed was very comfortable. However since I was traveling with my 14 year old granddaughter I was surprised that we had just one bed. I guess I did not specify that two beds were desired. Never assume.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

We live locally. Would not visit LA anyway since it is no longer a safe or fun place to go.

Ensenada, Mexico Did not visit port

Very few shore excursions suitable for a 14 year old girl.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Once again, very efficient. Very organized.
