Review summary

My very first cruise. But won't be my last. And I even want to redo the Navigator sailing but during better weather. I had a great time and loved it.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Wasn't able to board for almost an hour past our scheduled time due to ship issues. However once cleared it went quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
For the most part delish. The desserts, Indian selections, and room service coffee were a fail, but main dishes, specialty restaurants, and the buffet in general were very good. The filet mignon from Chops and the Truffled Creamy Lobster roll from Izumis *chefs kiss* The French Onion Soup and the Beef Tenderloin in the MDR is some of the very best I've had anywhere.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Weather didn't permit the outside planned activities on sea day but Trivia and game shows kept us busy.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Headliner comedian was hilarious. Showgirls production show impressive! iSkate amazing.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waitstaff and room stewards were so nice and eager to please. The headwaiter herself brought me sliced green apples 2 different nights when I was sea sick. My only issue was with the morning barista woman at Cafe Promenade. She was just abrasive and acted like us lining up for coffee was an inconvenience in her day. I'm not saying she needed to be a ray of sunshine everyday there was nothing remotely welcoming about her or that she liked her job.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Gorgeous.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable and clean. One minor issue. The safe wasn't working right. I had to call maintenance to come open it for me twice.

Ports of call

Ensenada, Mexico

No excursion. Just wandered. Not much to do but get asked every 1/2 block to buy this buy that from vendors, children, and restaurant owners. The only people not trying to get your money is the food cart owners. And I think that's because the yummy smells sells the product. Definitely get a taco or 4 from a food cart. Totally worth it.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy.
