Review summary

We did a back to back cruise for the very first time! We're a huge Disney family, but with all their price increases, we've become "loyal to royal" over the last several years! This is our first time to cruise with royal without going on an Oasis class ship. We found out that way enjoy and Oasis class ship better because of all the extra activities. However, the service was beyond phenomenal and our boys and us had an incredible time! If you don't enjoy cruising with royal, it's you! Perfect day at cococay was amazing and has become our absolute favorite port!

Parked on the 3rd floor and was on board in its than 10 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room was excellent. Always something good in the Windjammer too! Poolside restaurants also great... Never went hungry!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Not as much for little ones to do except for on sea day. Our boys (5 and 2) loved the cupcake class (they each got to make 5 of them).

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Ice show was really well done!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters and room steward were all awesome! Everyone was so good to our boys too!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship's public areas were in perfect shape... Looked brand new. There were a few areas of the room could use a little TLC. But, overall perfectly fine!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was huge and allowed for our family of four to all have their own space. We have always stayed in balcony rooms before and did not miss it for a single second. The only real drawback was we had to walk the length of the ship anytime we wanted to go to the Windjammer

Ship tip

Do a 4 day cruise... We did a back to back 3 day followed by a 4 day. The service was much better on the 4-day and three days is just really too short. We heard several people on the 3-day complaining about how they felt like they were just getting used to where things were on the ship but we're already having to get off.

Disembarkation

Walked right off the ship, grabbed our luggage, and went through customs in just a few short minutes. Incredibly simple process if you have a passport! The birth certificate line was very long.
