Review summary

This was our first time on Royal and enjoyed it! The staff was always so friendly and helpful, the food excellent at any dining location including the buffet on cococay. I was very impressed by the level of amazing service we received from everyone on board that we encountered that we already booked our next cruise on this same ship!

Embarkation

This was fastest, easiest embarkation I’ve ever done before. We did have the key which made the process even more quicker but the main line at around 11am was not bad at all either.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
When we first got on the ship we headed to the main dining room for the Key lunch and we were able to pick from a selection that you would usually find at the specialty restaurant Chops grill, and it was amazing. From the salad to the huge cheesecake it was a great start to our culinary adventure on the ship. Almost everything we eat on the ship was amazing. We usually went to the dining room for breakfast and diner and we had no complaints on service or food. The staff was so attentive and friendly. Everyone was ready to help you the best they could and did it with a great attitude from the dining room to the buffet! We went to the buffet twice and loved that they made sure everyone who came in washed their hands! The food did not disappoint at all, loved all the different selections they had for breakfast and lunch. As soon as we got our food and found a place to sit, someone would come and greet us and ask what we would like to drink and if they could get us anything. Dining at anytime on the ship was so lovely!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The ship had a lot of activities to do throughout the day which was nice to have a good variety to choose from. The spa was amazing and relaxing. Caught some movies outside, it was lovely being under the night sky enjoy a good film and grabbing a milkshake from Johnnys! Didn’t take advantage of much of the activity’s but loved that u could always find a nice area to sit down and enjoy a book or people watch, ocean watch, and just relax!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went to an ice show that was absolutely fantastic! The performers did such a great job. The live music around the ship was lovely as well.

Children's Programs

No kids came with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff on this ship was just excellent! If we stopped anyone to ask for directions they either took us where we needed to go or gave us clear directions on how to get there. Our waiter as asst waiter at table 215, Sheryl & Ikomang were fantastic. Super friendly and hospitable from the time we meet! Always making sure we were doing good and if we needed anything. Our room steward Rick was the best. He was always so calm and collected. Anything we asked for was no problem to do, always asked how our day was, and just awesome. The best part about all the staff is they did and answered all our questions, comments, concerns with smiles and the best attitudes!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I believe we stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, it was very spacious and clean! It could use a little vacuuming but not bad at all. You could always see someone cleaning, the ship seems spotless and very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room felt very spacious and comfortable to move in with 2-3 people in it at the same time. Felt and looked very clean.

Ship tip

Everyone is willing and ready to help you so if you have any issue just let someone know so they can help you. Take your time and enjoy all the ship has to offer!

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

I loved the Island! After being there I booked my next cruise back! Lots of space, never felt crowded. Cute little shops to get items from. The pool was amazing! The dj was great and getting pool side service made you feel relaxed and amazing. So much to do and enjoy on the island! The food was really good for a buffet, lots of selections to choose from and of course staff made everything better with their smiles and great advice.

You should book a Panoramic ocean view room on the Navigator. Wall to wall and ceiling to ceiling windows. Makes the room feel very spacious.
