Review summary

Overall the cruise was decent, despite the whether through a wrench in the highlight of the trip (cococay). It was a little unnerving that my friends had money stolen from their room, then returned after filing complaint (cabin 8-340).

Embarkation

setting sail and taking off was a breeze, and was a good experience.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dinning room food wasn’t very good. We are there 2 nights and decided we wouldn’t do it again. The restaurant we tried had much better food. The buffet food was ok for lunch, didn’t try it for dinner, but breakfast was mediocre. The scrambled eggs were always very watery and a weird consistency.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Water slides were fun. Rock climbing wall was only open a few hours a days, so didn’t very to try that. The solarium could stand to have some music playing. I checked out the casino, but couldn’t stand to be in there for more than an hour because of how smoky it was. I very much enjoyed the gym and the assortment of equipment that was provided.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of our wait staff was extremely friendly and did a wonderful job. We enjoyed our room steward, as he turned our room down every night since one of us was using the fold out couch.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I junk they layout of the ship was great and I liked the design. Everything was well maintained and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size of the room was adequate for 2 ppl. I was please.

Ship tip

Be sure to bring some fabreeze if you visit the casino. Make reservations for Izumi and chops. Bring an outlet splitter to have an extra charger. There are only two outlets to each room. So if you have to charge a phone and watch, that poses a problem if you’ve hit 2 ppl to a room and 4 devices that need to be charged.
