Review summary

The cruise was a short one, so there are certain things that are left out on the ship that they do not have because you do not have a true day at sea. The boat was nice, the room was nice, and everything else was pretty much status quo from any of the other royal Caribbean cruises I've been on.

Embarkation

The Miami port was surprisingly nice and efficient once you got inside, but the luggage drop off was the most unorganized out of all the ports I've been to. It's like you have to drop your luggage off with no one just an opening in the wall and hope for the best.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room food is exactly the same as any other ship so far that I've been on for Royal Caribbean. The best thing that I ate on the entire ship was the burger and fries at Playmakers. It was one of the best things I've ever eaten on any Royal Caribbean cruise.

Onboard Activities

We weren't able to use the slides on the back of the ship, because one was broken then it got fixed the other one went broken and the stairs that we had to wait on we're burning our feet oh, they had problems with the slides every time we went to them. The staff that were running the slides didn't communicate with anyone on the line very well.

Service and Staff

There are always a few Superstars that are on the ship, and there are always a few that just don't get it, and don't understand what's going on. I've come to realize that there is a big disconnect with communication and not just a language barrier but I do believe it's poor training on Royal Caribbean's part especially when it comes to information regarding programs and promotions. You would think that if a crew is on a ship for 1- 6 months and trained properly they will be able to answer questions about where things are, how things work, but that's not necessarily the case. This is a common theme for all the cruises I've been on. But I would like to recognize Gerald who was the room attendant and was excellent. Yany in next cruises who is able to understand my concerns and have a decent conversation about them. And lastly jastin in playmakers, who I suggest you go and visit, he makes one hell of a espresso martini, probably the best martini I've ever tasted. And he suggested the burger which turned out to be one of the best things I've eaten on a Royal Caribbean cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

The room was clean, spacious, but it was missing the little table that goes in front of the couch so we had to improvise when we had the tray with coffee and breakfast brought in the mornings. Other than that it was very comfortable plenty of room oh, great bathroom and walk-in closet.

Ship tip

It's very hard to hear any of the announcements for most of the parts on the ship. And When you find people that you like dealing with on the cruise ship keep going back to those areas it'll make the cruise experience much better.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

The layout was nice, the swim up bar was nice but they don't have a full complete bar like they have on the ship. Some of the frozen drinks you can't get there limited to just strawberry and Margarita flavor. The information given prior to getting to the island was not sufficient, there are places to eat where you have to actually pay. You won't be able to find all of the information on cococay on their website. And don't leave food unattended, the birds are scavengers and we'll come down and take it all.

Nassau, Bahamas

The people were nice, going in and out of the port was easy. Went on a wine making Excursion and it was actually a lot of fun and we had plenty of time to go shopping. The Breitling Boutique has a great staff, and so does Del Sol
