Review summary

Overall great cruise with the exception of Nassau. Perfect Day at Coco Cay was amazing and worth every penny! On the other had the man that was there to scan us off the boat at Coco Cay was VERY rude to me and my children. We had a problem with my daughters card and he immediately to us to go get it fixed but didn’t say where or what was wrong with it. Then he said it was because she and my son had the same barcode which was impossible because she had been using her card linked to her personal back card. Overall getting off at ports was a bit of a mess.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was great but I still had a problem with them bringing tomatoes to the table despite being told I have a severe allergy to them. The taco station was a big hit with my family and was a great addition. My big kids ate sushi and had a really bad experience.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We utilized the basketball court, water slides, surfing, the teen club, the adventure club for my 10 y/o and they were all great and provided hours of fun.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The music was good and the performers were great. A little island music would have been nice.

Children's Programs

The kids club was amazing and made my 10 y/o feel special since the other kids couldn’t go. She had a ball in there.

Service and Staff

Our room attendant was amazing! He went above and beyond and really got to know us and our children. Wish I could have tipped him more to show appreciation for his great service. The waiters were ok, not very attentive, and somewhat dismissive.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great ship that was easy to navigate and provided ample opportunities to mingle and have a great time.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable and clean. We initially were unsure how 4 could sleep comfortably in there with only two beds, but our room attendant assured us we would be ok as the other beds come down from ceiling, which fascinated my kids.

Ship tip

Pay for everything upfront before sailing, and be prepared for the over charge at the end of cruise. Things are eventually settled but takes 72 hours to resolve.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

One of my favorite cities, but service on south beach is terrible, and they are usually rude. Also not a great place for small children.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
This was by far the best part of the trip! The new water park, and layout blew me away! Our last trip was quite a bore so it was in essence night and day. The people were helpful, the food was great, the swim up bar was awesome, and I would have loved to spend more time there. My kids had a great time. Thank you for your efforts.

Nassau, Bahamas

Last year we were rained out and only spent a few hours there. This year was the same. Last year I booked it via a 3rd part vendor bookit.com and it included a meal voucher but not transportation. This year I booked with Royal Caribbean and I made sure to have the lady read the full description to ensure it was the same and came with a lunch voucher only to find out that it did not and the food there was very expensive. I was very disappointed with this portion of the trip and will not be doing it again.

We were able to eat and shower before leaving and the process was simple and easy.
