Overall, we were happy with the Navigator of the Seas. However, the experience on this cruise did not live up to prior experiences with Royal Caribbean or Norwegian in terms of food and drink. Coco Cay definitely added to the value of this cruise.
Embarkation

We were out of the Uber and on the ship in less than 20 minutes. Checking-in online before you arrive saves a lot of time at the port.

Food and Dining

The food in the main dining room was great, as were the staff. However, we found the food options on this cruise to be very limited compared to our prior sailings on Norwegian, and even other Royal Caribbean ships. Many times we were looking for a bite to eat between meals, only to find the buffet to have a limited selection, with large parts of it closed off at times. The Mexican place by the pool had very limited hours, and when it did open, everyone flocked there (probably because there was nowhere else to get food). There was a small place on the Promenade that had pizza and baked goods, but the line was often too long to make it worth the wait.
More disappointing than the food was the drink situation. We had the Ultimate Beverage Package, and we certainly made good use of it. However, the bars were woefully understocked, resulting in bar tenders telling us they could not make certain (basic) drinks due to missing components. We tried to order an advertised "adult milkshake" at Johnny Rockets, and it seemed like we were the first ones to ever ask. The bar tender pointed us toward the Johnny Rocket staff, who then pointed us back to the bar tender. The bar tender spent 5 minutes checking in cabinets for the various mixers for the milkshake, but ultimately, he didn't have them. He talked us into a frozen mudslide, which we accepted, only to find out half way through making it that he didn't have all of the components for that, either. He had to send a bus boy over to another bar to get the other elements. After 25 minutes, we finally had out drinks. Not what one would expect on a Caribbean cruise - these types of drinks should be at the ready. It was also not uncommon to find a lot of the bars closed unexpectedly at different points during the cruise. Overall, it was a little disappointing, and certainly not what I have experienced on prior cruises.
Onboard Activities

The new slides are great, but expect to sink some time into waiting on the lines that do not move very fast. The Flowrider looked cool, but the cost was prohibitive, especially after seeing how little time each rider gets. The shows on the boat were plentiful, and well done. The party on the Promenade was really cool on the first night with the balloon drop.
Entertainment

Stage shows and musicians throughout the boat were great!
Children's Programs
We did not have kids on the cruise with us.

Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
It was a typical cruise ship cabin. We won an upgrade to a "spacious ocean view balcony," but it was not much more spacious than a typical balcony room - so not worth the extra money paid. The cabin was the last cabin to the back of the boat, which had a nice advantage of having the ability to see off both the side and back of the boat from the balcony. The bathroom was a bit outdated, and it was clear that the big money RCCL spent on refurbishing the ship did not go into the rooms. We spent so little time in the room, though, so it did not bother us that much.
Ship tip
If you arte taking a sailing that stops in Coco Cay, DEFINITELY go to the waterpark. Save some money by purchasing yout tix before the sailing. It will be crowded early in the day, especially the big slides. Again, they are worth it. If you re-enter the water park about 1.5 hours before the ship leaves, you can literally walk onto any of the slides. You can do them all within an hour, and be back on the ship in time. That's our biggest piece of advice for this cruise.
Coco Cay truly was the perfect day! Good food options, bars are everywhere, and a ton of stuff to do ranging from relaxing on the beach to riding the tallest water slide in North America. I will definitely book another cruise that stops in Coco Cay!!
Very crowded with a lot of shopping right off the boat. There are some deals to be found, but we got sick of being haggled as we walked the streets. We were back enjoying the boat in less than two hours.
