Navigator of the Seas is a great ship for a quick weekend. Longer than that, you may want a ship with more activities, shows, etc. I was a little surprised that there was not more shopping onboard. I had a great time and would cruise with Royal Caribbean again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
OMG, I have not cruised in 10 years and embarkation process is amazing now. Have your travel documents ready and you are onboard in just a few minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The buffet was great with lots of choices, and the food was very tasty. The main dining room was superb. Our head waiter, Ashwin, was amazing and incredibly accommodating.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Shopped and attended three shows
Entertainment
4 out of 5
So, the ice show was magnificent, and the Showgirl show was good, however the comedian, not so much. Did not find him funny at all.
Children's Programs
No children with me on this trip.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone that I encountered was knowledgeable, friendly and happy to help with directions and information.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The layout was good except for the somewhat odd layout between the 3rd and 4th floors. You could not access, from my room, the third floor without going to 4th floor first, then back down. Odd.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was clean for the most part. More attention could have been paid to the bathroom, and of course, the rooms are small, but we managed and the balcony was great too (first time). I would like to see a little more privacy on the balcony. They were open at the top and bottom between suites (I'm sure it is a safety issue) but you could hear every single word from our neighbors. Thankfully, they were pretty quiet.
Ship tip
I would tell them to remember that there are many people the cruiseline has to accommodate, so everything may not be perfect, but keep an open mind and enjoy yourself.
Ohmygoodness!!!! This island is amazing. There is a shuttle to and from the port to the island if you do not want to walk, and once you are there, nothing but beach and swimming pools, and water activities, etc. The food, well, hmm, most of it was good, but the salad bar could use some work. Again, the staff were great. The biggest thing I just loved was the fact there were more than ample seating (lounge chairs) with umbrellas!!! So often, you have to go over early to get a seat, but not here. Thank you!!!
I have been to Nassau many times, so I did not need the usual souvenirs, but I would love it if some money would be spent to beef it up. The Straw Market is different than I remember, but it was quite cramped and a bit of a walk from the entrance. All in all, it was fine.
Similar to the arrival, disembarkation was a breeze. I was a little confused about the meeting place, expecting my luggage to be there for pickup, but once I was told that my luggage was not even on the ship, I felt a little better. Pickup of luggage, through customs and out the door - amazingly fast. Vast improvement. Again, thank you!
Just got off the ship on Fri May 17. Agree with all the comments. Bathrooms were not redone. Sink drain did not work. Room was clean and ok. Bed was very comfortable. Shows were just okay. Nothing special. Poorly attended. Would definitely cruise rc again since we are diamond status. Like that class of ship.
