Navigator of the Seas

10 Night Sunshine In The Canaries (Southampton Roundtrip)

Sail date: October 26, 2018

Ship: Navigator of the Seas

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Family (older children)

Review summary

Missed two ports because of a technical fault with ship, so only had two days of sunshine out of a ten day cruise. We have sailed on the navigator before and feel the entertainment programme is not upbto the standard of other Royal Carribean cruises. RC seem to send all their best ships around the carribean and Europe are left with older and in my opinion inferior vessels.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Regular cruiser with RC but standards have slipped in main dining room, waiters didn't offer you bread, had to serve yourself from a bowl in middle of table. Food wasn't piping hot. Waiters had too many tables to manage, this Wasn't the case on previous cruises.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Karaoke and bingo, where are we butlins? Theatre shows were average with the exception of Jack Pack who were great. Poor prizes for quizzes - a highlighter pen!

I think all lines send the biggest ships to the biggest markets, e.g. carribean, Alaska. I'm sure if the smaller markets could fill a 5000+ passenger ship they would get one too. Some day the big glitzy ships of today will be relegated to the smaller ports. Be patient.

Do you know what theme night they had on the ship? 70’s, 80’s, white night, red night? I leave next week and trying to pack for what crew is doing. Thanks!

I heard it was the stabilizers as they got broke in a storm?
