Review summary

A fun 5 day cruise. Navigator needs to improve their food choices and bar waitress service. Would not cruise over spring break again. 20-somethings were not well behaved and taxed the security staff. But they were so busy drinking that we at least had tons of deck chairs to choose from! Really liked the concept of the promenade.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food and choices not as good as on our Majesty of the Seas cruise last summer. Bar service lacking. No one to take your drink order when sitting down.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Sudoku challenge, Tri-bond trivia, Majority Rules game, Solarium pool area

Solarium

5 out of 5

Great adult area option!!! 16 and over in the pool and jacuzzis in he Solarium.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The comedians were AWESOME!!! The singing and dancing shows were BORING!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters and room steward were fantastic as usual!

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Schooner Bar kitchen was above us. Rolling carts, etc. We put in our earplugs for sleeping and were Aok, but others might be bothered by the noise.

Ship tip

Decks 3 and 2 are a pain because you have to go up to deck 4 and walk through that to get to the other side to then go back down to deck 3 for dining or theater on the opposite side.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
Way too much traffic and people. A congested city and wouldn’t stay over again. Not even worth going to Miami Beach because of the number of people, tourists and parking.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Went to Maya Chan beach resort (not a ship excursion) and loved it. Bumpy ride but got to see the real Costa Maya along the way, not the fake port.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Wish we had docked in town and not at the fake port with all the horrible tourist shops. We did the Stingray excursion through the ship. If you want to save money, it’s called “Stingray Beach” and you can book it on your own. Very educational and after you get to touch and learn about stingrays, you snorkel in a protected snorkeling area. The rays are HUGE!!! Very cool.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Great disembarkation because we used self assist and walked off before the crowds!
