Great Caribbean Cruise. Loved Cozumel. Costa Maya was not what we expected, it could have been a little cleaner. Overall Royal Caribbean did an amazing job.

Review summary

Had a great time. Experienced new things. Met new and exciting people. Largest ship I have been on so far and it went smoothly. Can't wait to go on another one. Will keep the Navigator in mind for future cruising. Staff is very friendly and ready to help.

Embarkation

Went smoothly. We checked in online which helped out wonders. All we had to do was get our pictures taken and fill out a health survey. They kept had lots of employees to keep everyone moving quickly so there was hardly any wait.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Drinks were wonderful. The ultimate drink package was well worth the price you pay if you drink alcoholic beverages. Each mixed drink averaged 2.5 shots. Well worth the price. The food in the main dining room had a great variety every night that was prepared just like a fine dining restaurant. My husband and I felt very spoiled. We ate there every evening.

Onboard Activities

We went to one of the shows called All Access. It was good. However we wish they had more of a variety and at different times. We always felt like we could never make it to what we wanted because so many things were going on at once. Also we wish we could have played bingo.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was kept very clean. We personally did not notice any discrepancies in it. However there are some areas that could be updated in flooring. Those are just from wear and tear.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had one of the interior virtual balcony rooms. It was nice since it gave you the feel of a larger room. Which we didn't want to pay extra for a balcony since we knew we wouldn't be spending that much time in our cabin anyways. It was also nice because it is on a giant TV that you can turn off but if you leave it on and turn up the volume it provides white noise if you are one of those people that need something extra to sleep to.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

We stayed in Orlando visiting Walt Disney World prior to departure and drove down the morning of embarkation.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
This port was fairly nice. However the vendors are very pushy to sell items. Even if you have just walked by their shop from going to the restroom they will ask you the exact same thing about buying something. It gets exhausting say "No thank you" after awhile. Over all the port itself was clean and we felt safe. We took a tour to a resort to go snorkeling. Our guide was amazing but the only downside to the water here is that there is algae just piling up along the beaches and floating everywhere in the water.

Cozumel, Mexico

Loved this port. Excellent shopping. Wonderful people. Gorgeous clear blue water. Vendors are not pushy and you have a much larger selection of items to choose from. This port even has a Margaritaiville, Harley Davidson, Hard Rock Cafe and a Pandora store!

Disembarkation

I only give it good because someone pulled the fire alarm causing everything to be delayed by 45min. Even with the delay it was a fairly speedy process and easy one. They guide you where you need to go. If you have questions just ask everyone is more than happy to help make sure you leave in a smooth and timely manner.
