Review summary

This was our very first cruise. We were on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas. We were immediately impressed with the ship upon entry. The decor was beautiful, the entertainment shows were awesome and the food in the dining room and the service there was excellent! The food in the Windjammer cafe was good, there were a ton of choices. Our stateroom with balcony was perfect, decent size and was nice to order breakfast room service and eat out on our balcony watching the sunrise! The destinations were great (Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Haiti), had an excellent time seeing different places and such amazing blue water! Overall the ship was pretty neat and tidy, the crew obviously works hard to keep it ship-shape!

Our stateroom with balcony was excellent. I wouldn't do another cruise without a balcony, was so nice to have that to view sunrise/sunsets or just enjoy some quiet time with my spouse. The room attendant was great, she was attentive to every little detail in making sure our room was tidy each day.

Ship tip

If you are considering a room with a balcony, get one that is mid-ship, mid-level. That way you will feel less or no movement of ship when sailing. We were on deck 7, exactly in middle of ship where balcony protrudes out the furthest and I never felt ship move when in our room.

Do the swim with the Sting Rays on the sandbar. The water is an unbelievable bright blue, warm and stingrays were so cool to be around.

Get off the ship early, ahead of most people, if possible and reserve one of the cabana/awning things there, only $35 for the day. They are over by the zip line beach. The sun is hot there. Those things sold out immediately!
