Review summary

all in all a good cruise but RCL is starting to slip...the ship was not well air conditioned as in previous cruises and the dining room, theater even individual rooms were un reasonably warm---dining and theater were  un comfortable especially when we were dressed up for formal nights. There were too many specialty restaurants which took away from the quality of the food and the ambiance of the main dining room. performances by the dancers and singers which were done several nights a week are only done 2 nights on a 7 day cruise. quality on everything has been slipping. The experience was good...but not as enjoyable and special as it has been in the past.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
not as good in quality as in the past but still enjoyable

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

3 out of 5
only 2 shows during the entire voyage--with a comedian and single entertainers filling in.

Children's Programs

we only had adult children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
room steward and waiters were especially attentive

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Needed up grades in air conditioning

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
the cabin though conpact was certainly comforgtable and adequate----it was too warm and no matter how we adjusted the thermostat it made no difference in the comfort level of the room. Our cabin attendant was wonderful.

Ship tip

this particular ship is large and is at the limit for size and the ability of the ship to provide a truly special cruise experience...too many people made it very difficult to partake in ships activities. It was just to crowded to take part in things.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

3 out of 5
This was the departation and arrival port and we just boarded and left the ship here.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
was very warm here and we took a cab to the end of the main avenue and worked our way back to the ship shopping and sightseeing along the way.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
enjoyed a tour of the city and the bay aboard a vehicle which went on water and on land.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
took a tour of the city and of nearby montego bay..shopping and learning about the citie..there was also complete shopping right at the dock within comfortable walking distance of the ship.

Makes it sounds like you are too damn picky and expect their to be servants to wait on your own needs instead of the whole ship of passengers. Your fun and excitement is what you make it. Sound like you are not that fun to be around than.
