Jamie's Italian on Navigator of the Seas

The garlic bread and truffle tagliatelle were bland. Badly bland. However my son said the chicken Caesar salad he ate was the best chicken Caesar salad he's ever had. And honestly that amalfi lemon cheesecake is what dreams are made of. The salad and dessert alone is so good it's worth giving 4 stars instead of 3.

Honestly one of the things that drew me to Navigator was getting to try Jamie Oliver's restaurant. I went for lunch on day 2 and the food was very flavorful. Had the prawns appetizer which comes in a light white wine, garlic sauce. I had the Tagliatele Bolognese as my main which was seasoned very well. Dessert was Lemon cheese cake with a meringue topping. It seemed odd in the menu, but the waiter recommended so I decided to try it. Really tasty, not too sweet and a raspberry drizzle cut the acidity of the lemon.

Sooo overrated and menu is pathetic. You cant even get spaghetti and meatballs at an Italian restaurant. Had the short ribs...covered in gravy to hide the fact over 1/2 the piece of meat is fat and gristle. At $49.00 a pop, one would think the quality would be there. Overly salted and he side dishes were mushy vegetables. Ordered a cappuccino with my dessert. Dessert took 20 minutes (tiramisu), 15 minutes later still no cappuccino before i asked for check and reminded them to cancel the order. Money best spent at Johnny Rockets

Day 1 lunch service was eh. Food good as expected. Night 3 dinner - Alex was great, good great.
