Review summary

I have never done a short cruise before. It was a nice getaway but unfortunately wasn't able to take advantage of all the activities & entertainment offered because I chose to simply relax.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Embarkation at Los a Angeles is slow and a bit disorganized, but to be fair, this is not the fault of Royal Caribbean.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Hooked Seafood

5 out of 5

Had lunch here on day one. Got the fresh oysters and the Maine Lobster role. Both were very tasty. Casual eating with quality food. Definitely recommend.

Main Dining Room

4 out of 5

Standard dining room cuisine. Food variety & preparation has improved since the first post COVID cruise i took back in March.

Jamie's Italian

4 out of 5

Honestly one of the things that drew me to Navigator was getting to try Jamie Oliver's restaurant. I went for lunch on day 2 and the food was very flavorful. Had the prawns appetizer which comes in a light white wine, garlic sauce. I had the Tagliatele Bolognese as my main which was seasoned very well. Dessert was Lemon cheese cake with a meringue topping. It seemed odd in the menu, but the waiter recommended so I decided to try it. Really tasty, not too sweet and a raspberry drizzle cut the acidity of the lemon.

El Loco Fresh

3 out of 5

I think the best thing about El Loco Fresh is the convenience. Living in Southern CA, I have a high standard for Mexican food. Pretty tasty overall but nothing to write home about.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Standard ocean view balcony cabin. Stateroom attendant Jayson was very nice & friendly. Had fun joking with him whenever I saw him.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

I live in Long Beach so getting to the ship was a 10 minute uber ride. I wish there were more crossing options out of this port.
