My wife and I spent a fantastic 7-nights aboard the MSC World Europa. We sailed in the Yacht Club and had a wonderful time cruising the Med in this gorgeous ship. We booked another cruise aboard her sister MSC World America and can't wait to step on board.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We embarked from Barcelona, and the Yacht Club embarkation process never disappoints no matter where we sail from. Smooth, quick, and seamless.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Yacht Club restaurant was superb, and Butcher's Cut was fantastic.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The design of the Yacht Club pool deck aboard the World Class is our least favorite of all the MSC ship classes. It is much better than the main pool deck, but with more YC passengers aboard this ship, the pool deck did feel crowded on our sea day. And there were a couple of times during the week where we weren't able to find pool loungers in an ideal spot. All of the YC pool deck cabanas are reserved for the Royal & Owners suite guests, so that's not an option for any one else on this class.
Entertainment
We don't cruise for the shows.
Children's Programs
Our children are all grown and didn't cruise with us.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
We sailed aboard World Europa only 3-months after she arrived in the Mediterranean following her duty as a floating hotel for the World Cup in Doha. The Yacht Club staff was still getting their feel of the new ship at sea, and it showed a little. They were not up to the standard that their counterparts on other ships had set. But, the service overall was well above the rest of the ship.
Ship Quality

The ship was beatiful, clean, and well designed. The swarovski stairs in the Yacht Club were beautiful and the chandelier in the atrium was too.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
It was a Yacht Club suite - nothing more needs to be said.
Barcelona was our port of embarkation and it was absolutely fantastic. We stayed at the InterContinental a few days befor embarkation and I can't recommend that hotel any more that this ship.
Nice to read your review. My experience is more or less the same. We were on in March and did not experience any crowds around the Y/C pool but it doesn't surprise me that it was packed on your sailing.
