Review summary

My first recommendation is DO NOT listen to the negative reviews. There may be merit to very few of them, but those that state that the food is inedible or the ship is a pigsty are just complaining Kathy's. Form your own opinion. The majority of the passengers are overjoyed with this cruise experience.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Seamless, no issues.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Yacht Club food was very good, service was impeccable. Buffets were very crowded, but the food was of good quality and abundant.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The casino is small and busy. Pools were nice, but should be open until at least midnight, they close at 9pm. The arcade area is TINY and barely any games. The hours for the simulators and zip line are ridiculous. I would not recommend getting a fun pass, you will not use it.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows were very good, I recommend you see them all!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Yacht club service was top notch. Outside of the yacht club, the staff were not very friendly, but they are working their tails off.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was not my cabin. I was awarded an upgrade to Yacht club, cabin 18011 on deck 18.

Ship tip

If you get a chance to upgrade to Yacht club, I highly recommend you do so.

Very nice island, way beyond my expectations. Water was pristine. I recommend the wave runner tour. Don't spend money on a cabana... you will not need it.

Disembarkation

They have it to a science, just don't miss your assigned time.

I see that term "inedible" posted a little bit too much on cruise reviews. Does anybody really believe the food on a ship was all inedible and the poster did not eat anything the whole week because of this? It is the first sign of an overly dramatic negative review

Sounds like the yacht club is the way to go with MSC Cruises

I think it’s slightly unfair to say anyone who doesn’t like MSC food is just a complainer, when you’re staying in Yacht Club so will be having a different food experience from most of the reviewers on here. I am glad you enjoyed your cruise though, MSC wasn’t for me but that’s just a personal choice and I’d never tell anyone else not to try it, and I also thought the ship was beautiful.

All reviews are highly subjective and should start with "in my opinion " instead of "avoid at any cost." It's great that you've enjoyed your cruise.
