Review summary

there were positives and negatives, we did go with an open mind as this was our first time on MSC. we have gone on 27 Carnival cruises and a Princess cruise, we already booked another cruise on MSC because the price was so great. we are giving them another chance to win our loyalty. My daughter has gone on 3 MSC cruises and never had the problems with the dining room staff we had.

We were surprised that some of the items of food were not near as good as on Carnival, however, that being said, the gelato was wonderful on MSC. Even the hamburgers were no match for Guy's on Carnival. The pasta dishes were good, the fruit was excellent.

Cabin service is as good as we have ever had, room was always kept clean and we only requested ice 1 time and our room steward kept the ice bucket full the entire cruise. Dinner service was terrible. water glasses, ice tea was never refilled unless we requested, the same with bread. we would make a request for a particular item and did not get it. i think our dining waiter was on his last contract and really did not want to be there.

Ship tip

All was great except the design of the closet and storage room. so much wasted space that could have had a cabinet or shelving. hardly anywhere to put our stuff. Closet would not open enough to get shoes out. had to sit in floor to get shoes.

We loved Divina and will be on Seaside 6/23...will post on our return...they just upgraded us to a suite with whirlpool balcony so happy about that...they will match your highest level on any other line!

A bad experience

Horrible
