Review summary

Overall the ship was very beautiful, this would be a very nice quick inexpensive fun getaway for the family or even a couple. However, if you aware expecting extravagance, this is not the ship for you. For the price the experience was great and I will definitely go again for budget purposes understanding that you get what you pay for and ultimately will be satisfied. If I had to rate the looks of the ship inside and out would definitely be a 10 out of 10. The ship is just gorgeous new and updated.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dinning was decent, the buffet did not have many selections as expected, Hola Tacos specialty dinning was fantastic and well worth it. All you can eat for $17.99 nothing was excluded off the menu.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There were a few good activities outside of the shows, such as water slides, interactive theater and game room.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I thought the talent was very good, wonderful performers and very talented musicians,

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
I would rate the service and staff 5 stars if it had not been for a couple of unhappy and non welcoming bartenders, there were only about two throughout the ship that were not very nice. Otherwise great service.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I thought the ship was very clean, bathrooms stayed fresh and in stock with toilet trees, all though there were a few hand sanitizer stations daily that were out of hand sanitizer.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
The overall size of the cabin was good, however there was this bad smell that seem NOT to go away, we had to request something daily that was not put in our cabins like face towels, pool towels, breakfast menus.

Ship tip

Maintain a positive attitude for a positive experience.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

Unable to get off and explore the island, it rained the entire time, otherwise, island looks nice from the ship.

Disembarkation

This was a nightmare, very unorganized and wasteful. May be due to the hurricane disembarked a day later.

Thanks for sharing. This sums up MSC perfectly in our experience. We are booked on the Seashore next year.

Disembarkation is often a nightmare across many Cruise brands. They have had your $$ and want you off to prep for the next lot!
