Review summary

MSC provides a cruise experience that is on par with all the major main stream cruise lines. You can customize your onboard experience depending on your budget and what you enjoin. Clean, beautiful ship! Beautiful, natural private island.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fastest Embarkation we've ever had. We did everything prior to arriving at the port on the MSC App. No standing in lines got on board quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main Dining Room had smaller portions and lower quality service. Food was good. Buffet had many different offerings but layout a bit conjested at times. If you are looking for fine dining choices and service; definitely purchase a speciality dining package. We purchased a 3 meal package and dined in the Butcher's Cut, Ocean cay and Hola! Taco. All meals were fantastic! We also had breakfast/brunch at Butcher's Cut, that was very nice for a minimal up charge. The only way to do it if you consider yourself a foodie!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
A nice variety of activiteis to choose from with out being in your face about participating. Great energy!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were very good - short productions 30 - 35minutes with fantastic singers and dancers. Commedian was very funny. Prgrams were long enough to entertain!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The staff around the ship was very friendly. The main dining room staff was effecient but on the whole didn't go over and above to assist. Specailty dining room staff was very good on all accounts. Room Steward was invisible. He did his job but we only saw him once or twice in the hall. Didn't introduce himself or offer assistance.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship! Someone was always cleaning and shining all the mirrors and sparkling things. Smart elevators were fast, once you got used to them very easy. The doors close quickly so a challange for my husband on a scooter. People are not so smart. You can only select the floor from outside the elevator. You are directed to which elevator to get into.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was comfortable. Bathroom was on the smaller side, especially the shower stall if you are taller than 5'6".

Ship tip

Purchase a Specialty Dining Package and use these restaurants for lunch and breakfast when available.

Ports of call

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Beautiful island with several beaches to enjoy. Smooth paths throughout. It was rainy both days we were there so just walked around.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Nice cruise port area. We walked wround, I got my hair braided, which I was looking forward to since this was the first time I had long hair when visiting.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
My embrarkation was smooth and was outside with luggage waiting for my husband who has a mobility scooter. There was one elevator in the terminal being used for all the people who needed assistance. It took him 10 extra minutes to get into the elevator and then go through the exit process.
