Food and Dining

Most of the food we had in the Yacht Club restaurant was very good. They did a great job with the filet mignon's. There were a few misses. The toaster waffle was a disappointment as were the pancakes. And one evening my trout and hubby's swordfish was dried out pretty bad. We enjoyed all the small bites and snacks always available in the lounge and on the pool deck. The breakfast and lunch buffets on the pool deck were good.

Enjoyed the pool and the huge hot tub at the back of the pool deck was awesome. Perfect temp even though it was hot out.

MSC Yacht Club Sun Deck & Pool

This area was never crowded--lots of padded loungers with thick towels, but not a lot of shade. The big hot tub at the very aft was wonderful! The little buffet for breakfast and lunch was good. The pool water temp was perfect, but don't plan on sipping your drink while in the pool--can't even leave it near the edge.

Entertainment

Not terribly impressed with the one song and dance production we saw.

Service and Staff

Everywhere we went was clean and sparkly--MSC sure likes the glitter!

Cabin / Stateroom

We were upgraded to a deluxe balcony suite from our original yacht club interior. The cabin was spacious and we especially appreciated the large shower with build in bench. Plenty of storage. We were excited about having the complimentary mini bar in the room, but only used it for water a couple times because we were right down the hall from the lounge where we could get any drinks we wanted. The bed was comfortable but a definite ditch in the middle, more so than other cruise beds we've been on. Balcony was average size, but it was so hot that we rarely sat out there.

Ship tip

If you can afford the Yacht Club we can highly recommend. Never crowded and the service is over the top.

The Yacht Club beach was not as nice as some of the other beaches here. be sure to take your water shoes. Can highly recommend the lobster rolls at the restaurant at the beach.

Our butler escorted off the ship and actually butt the line when we got to the final check. When I forgot my card in the room (you have to have an MSC card in the slot by the door for the electricity to work) he quick ran back and got it for me. We barely paused at customs in Port Canaveral before out the doors to our shuttle.
