Went into our first MSC with an open mind, and ended up booking another while on board.😆. Also loved the fact that they give status match.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Being our first on MSC, we weren’t sure of the process, but it was extremely quick 👍🏼.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Having done our due diligence, reading reviews etc. decided to have an open mind and must say the food overall was very good! Did find the main dining room portions to be a little small though.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
They did a fine job for the Super Bowl a little short on Valentine’s Day.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Overall the shows very good, music around the ship could be a little more.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Never really had to many delays, the bar service on the island, altogether was a nit slow 20 set bars and only two bartenders not enough. But in reality the drink program far better than most other cruise lines. If I’d ask for 4 beers I got 4 beers that’s a plus. Bottom line is if you treat the staff with respect you got respect back.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Beautiful design, the layout is very nice, and the ship seemed extremely clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin area is awesome large bed nice couch, large T V and plenty of storage. The bath room on the other hand is TINY!!! Easily the smallest shower we’ve ever had, and the toilet angle with the sink almost on usable!!! Balcony very comfortable and nice to relax.
Ship tip
The Butcher cut was amazing, steaks cooked to perfection, and all that went with it was fabulous. Service also was top notch. Personally not a fan of the Teppanyaki, food was great! But it’s just too load not our favorite restaurant on any ship. Open mind.
Not the best but far from the worst, it’s all about your fellow cruisers if you follow the rules it would be even better. Those that can not carry your bad down one flight of stairs should not do self assist. It’s an opinion from someone that’s taken a large number of cruises.
