Review summary

It was the worst experience I have ever had and I have even been on Margaritaville Party Boat that had better food and service. Review your food and customer service, it is terrible.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
An hour and a half to get into the parking lot from the highway. Just sat there, no one directing anything. We stood in line outside for 4 hours in the cold with NO ONE outside to assist before they opened the doors to let us go thru the first check point. There were busses coming right by us, unloading and those people were walking right on while those of us that parked in the port stood in the cold and were boarded last.It was terrible that elderly people were left standing on the concrete with zero places to sit or even water or anyone paying any attention to their needs. I have NEVER seen anything like that disaster.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Drink package was not bad but the food was the worst I have ever had cruising. It was cold, not flavorful, the fruit felt like it came out of cut up frozen fruit and the variety was non existent. Twice the soup in the dining room was very good but that was it. There was no where to get sacks during the day. I good go on and on.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The weather was not great so all the activities were packed. It was difficult to get seats.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage shows were great, the variety shows were marginal, the music was good.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Every time we called to the desk they said they would be right there and they never came including the first night when we asked to have our beds split and it took 5 requests and actually stopping staff in the hall the next day to get it done.. We also called for a tv control because after evening service it was missing. We were told it would be right up but that never happened, we found it under the covers in one of the beds. We never saw the person taking care of our cabin until we were leaving the ship.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
You would have gotten a higher score if the elevators were not such a mess. Every time there were people trying to go anywhere, the elevators did not work. The people with overriding watch bands actually changed directions of the elevator after we were on it and had been waiting for it for a long time. What a mess. I realize the concept of computer managed transportation but you have not mastered the program. It was awful.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was clean except unless we left dirty dishes on the counter, they were never removed and empty water bottles stayed until we threw them in the trash. The size of the room was good and I liked the balcony size.

Ship tip

NEVER CRUISE MSC.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

1 out of 5
Getting in was a nightmare and getting out was't a whole lot better. I would not get another cruise out of that port.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

1 out of 5
The excursion was cancelled due to the weather and there was NO food on the island. It was pretty but terrible.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

2 out of 5
The excursion to the lagoon was terrible. It was supposed to let us view nature but there was none. It was supposed to have food but that was terrible and left sitting in the open for bugs to eat.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Two hours late and the walkout line was miles long and we had to stand for about an hour before we could get out. NO global entry at the port which also was terrible. Finally we got out of the parking lot with no one directing traffic.
