We had a great time, but did have to entertain ourselves a good bit. It was a good cruise for relaxing.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
From arrival around 10:45 it's was about 35 minutes to be onbiard and enjoying some lunch.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The dinning room food was not the most appealing, but the buffet was good. And the Venichi gelato was delicious.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
This was a very different vibe than we are use to (mainly carnival cruiser), there just were not as many fun activities
Entertainment
3 out of 5
We did see a couple shows and the aerobatics were awesome, but beyond that they didn't make any sense.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Everyone except our room Stewart was wonderful. We are very easy going, but do expect some basic services. Like toilet paper, towels, ice... it was a battle to get stuff, ended getting thing from other stewards many times.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
She's as good new, only just at year old when we went on. Constant cleaning going on. Beautiful ship, loooooved the bridge of sighs. From the comments I thought I'd hate the elevator system(select floor from the outside, cant change it inside), but it actually lead to less crowded elevators. The only thing I didn't like was that only your key card works to keep the AC on (all other ships I've been on you could use a random card), so you went from a hot Caribbean port to a hot room.
We did not port at the main cruise terminal, we ported at one off a bit, in an industrial area. No taxis would go to do anything other than island tour. Was told by port staff managing rides to just walk, my travel companion was unable to do a 20 min walk to the shopping area because of her knee problems. Ended up just getting back on the ship.
We did the assisted disembark, slow, was delayed about 45 minutes from listed times and my travel companions suitecase was ruined( hard case, bottom ripped, wheel dangling off) had to buy a couple luggage straps at the airport to hold it together to get home.
