Review summary

This will be our last cruise with MSC. Not a great experience this time. Very understaffed and just average experience.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Terrible, sat in the port for 2 hours before boarding

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Average. We bought the trio package and still had to pay additional money on Top of that. Why did we have to pay for margaritas at the taco restaurant when margaritas are included in our drink package?

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not enough seating near the pools. Extra cost for all Other activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were decent

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Very understaffed and over worked. First cruise were they didn’t have any waiters/waitresses walking around asking if we wanted drinks. A line at every bar day and night.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was clean but no soap in any of the dispensers anywhere on the boat. There wasn’t any in our room when we boarded either.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
No place to put your suitcases

Ship tip

More pools, more staff or less guests, make more things on the boat all inclusive. I will it pay $9.00 for one game of pool, outrageous! If you have the drink package, minibar should not have an additional charge. I should not be charged extra in the specialty restaurants for drinks when they are in my drink package.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

Beautiful but this is MSC’s island. We paid for the cruise. We shouldn’t have to pay for an umbrella and floats. Also, need more trolleys to take you to and from back of the island.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Told to be out of room at 730am, didn’t get off the boat until 11am. At least have the casino open or a room to sit and relax. There wasn’t even room in our disembarkation area we were told to go to.

Thanks for your review

You have to pay for drinks at Hola because it’s a franchise, not owned by MSC. We have brought drinks in from the other bars included in the drink package.

Glad to see these negative reviews. That will keep the prices cheap for those of us that enjoy MSC.
