Review summary

worst cruise ever two elevators for 5000 people automated elevators so you didn't pick your room inside you did it outside the elevator then it assigned you a car but they were so slow people left and you would stop at every floor the food was really bad nothing on the buffet was hot and it was the same every day unable to find a slice of watermelon no self serve ice cream machines. I will never sail on MSC again

Ps. I think you mean to say 2 banks of elevators. There are 8 forward and 8 aft, and 2 more rear facing all the way aft. But yes I have heard the 8 in aft elevators were really slow. We didn't really experience that prob with our cabinets all the way forward. Hopefully, they can fix that. Think with the buffet aft, there is much more traffic there. Also, hopefully people get used to the newer controls for the elevators. It's different. Worked well up front.

Interesting, I was on the same cruise, admittedly we were in the yacht club, so not necessarily the same experience, but we had a great time and loved the ship and crew. The kids wished dinner was a little shorter, but it us an Italian line. Part of the experience.

If you have Bella or Fantastica experience dont expect too much for what you paid, but if you re Aurea experience that's what I talking and netherless Yatch Club is top notch on MSc

Sorry to hear, we were on the same sailing. Did you use the aft elevators? Just curious, we were forward and didn't have much trouble with the elevators. We were also in the yacht club, so yeah a different experience entirely. We had a great time and hope to go again soon. The aft, with the buffet and clubs was definitely more crowded.

Some folks like it, some don’t. Wonder what they meant by saying there were only two elevators? The specs say 19 lifts, with apparently two sets not doing all decks and 2 sets doing all decks.

Thanks for the review. People either love or hate MSC. I had a great experience in January, thought the food was comparable to Royal Caribbean or Carnival and thought that ocean cay was the best private island I have been to. Were 12 of the elevators not working? Looking at the ship layout, there are 14 elevators on the ship. You said only two for the whole ship. Luckily there are many other cruise lines to choose from so you can find something you enjoy
