Review summary

This was a family holiday trip. We had 3 cabins and were very excited to be on the new ship. The ship was beautiful and the service was good. However, the embarkation process was terrible, they charged extra for everything, the food was mediocre and there were very few free food options.

Very disorganized. We arrived at the specified time and spent 3 hours in line.

Food and Dining

There are only 2 free dining options, main dining room and buffet. The food was only ok and the lines in the buffet were terrible.

Onboard Activities

There were a few free activities however nothing very appealing and many were basically promos for buying something.

Entertainment

Most shows were full before we even arrived on the ship. The only available options were 10:30 at night and they were only ok.

Service and Staff

The staff was friendly and clearly working hard.

The ship was nice and well kept. The inside spaces were well designed however the outside spaces could’ve been more comfortable.

Many items are not included in the price and knowing what is and is not included is confusing. Pay close attention to additional charges.

Thanks for the review. MSC has several levels of booking options that include different levels of amenities. What is and is not included is listed on the website, when booking and the email booking documents provided to all passengers. It’s always important to read and understand what is included. The best experience is the Yacht Club, but many book the cheapest Bella level and somehow expect the top level experience.
