Review summary

The cruise was okay. I was not impressed with the buffets, pools, and entertainment. I would not give access to my son to bill to the cabin which was set up immediately. However the arcade allowed him to have a $300 bill without permission. I did purchase fun pass, but was told we did not activate it one day and then they said it was already activated. The trip was ruined when MSC SEASCAPE could not handle a delay at port. It showed how poorly managed the crew was and they created a dangerous environment with 5000 people in a few areas for over 10 hours. Carnival Celebration experienced the same, but was allowed to stay in their cabins. Seascape closed many public areas, roped off chairs, yelled about people lying down, and forced people to stand to one spot for 10 hours. They did not care about your well-being and safety. They did not accommodate for disabled people and violated many laws.

Nothing great. Workers did not seem to care.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The buffets was not organized in a way to handle a crowd of people. They made it difficult to get around and impossible for handicapped people to get their food. The food in the buffet was okay if you could get to it. The dining room did have better food and service.

Marketplace Buffet & Restaurant

Poor design. You will find it difficult to get your food.

Jungle Pool Lounge & Beach Bar

1 out of 5

Long lines and not enough staff.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Pools close at 9 pm. The pools are small especially for the number of people on the boat. The waterside were difficult to access and closed 90% of the time. Activities were okay but not all were announced.

Children's Programs

My 16 year old was bored with the teen club.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Dining waiting was amazing. Room steward was amazing. Arcade manager needs to be fired and will tell you everything "is your job". Captain needs to go. He treated guests like animals and did not care about anything except to get rid of you. Guest Services needs to have all fired. They will refuse to give their name if you call. They will tell you they can't help you. Officers on the SEASCAPE were jackasses.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The layout of boat was poorly designed. You have to walk through cabin areas to get to parts of the boat. Layout of buffet traps people.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was small, but clean.

Ship tip

Get a refund. The SEASCAPE is poorly managed and will put your safety at risk.

Disembarkation

My family was treated like unwanted animals. An accident at port delayed disembarking for ten hours. Seascape pushed their 5000 guests at 7 am to get to a few common areas for 10 hours. The crew simply didn't care. They roped off chairs and locked off areas so you could only be in standing room only for 10 hours. My wheelchaired parents were unable to get through the crowd to get food, water, or use the restroom. My father was in medical that morning vomiting and with a fever, but they still forced him to sit with 5000 people while throwing up! I was hit, pushed, shoved, stepped on, and had luggage dropped on me. I saw two fist fights in which MSC crew could not break up, three total meltdowns requireing medical attention, and many people crying after being treated so poorly. Every 15 minutes for five hours the captain announced we were delayed and to report to your disembarking station. Every 30 minutes, the Director announced to pay your bill so you would not be delayed longer (we were delayed 10 hours).l
