Cruise surpassed our expectations having read not great reviews! Extremely good value and cannot fault the ship or staff. We have a fantastic holiday!

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining room was very good, food and service was great. Buffet restaurant served its purpose, I was not a particular fan of the plastic tray like plates but food was good quality and ample. The bar areas were modern and staff very friendly - I was impressed as read some bad reviews and went with quite low expectations!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We used the pool and Jacuzzi area which was fantastic, we did not really use other facilities as our itinerary was jam packed.
Entertainment
Busy itinerary and young family, we did not use the evening entertainment.
Children's Programs
Busy itinerary!

Cabin / Stateroom

Really pleased with cabin, clean, modern, decent size for cabin and large window!
Pre-arranged a tour with Big Bus Tours Rome with port transfer. Really happy with tour. Received clear instructions on how to disembark and where to meet transfer to Rome. Big Bus advised which stops are best as limited on time (5 hours in Capital) We got off at Vatican, walked to stop 6 to join hop on/off bus, got off at 7 (Trevi and Spanish Steps) 3 (Colosseum) then walked to re-join bus at stop 5 then finally off at 6 again to meet return transfer. Beautiful city, so much to do, we were aware this would just be an overview and did not attempt to go into anywhere. Enjoy! (Red Route!)
Absolutely stunning! We fell in love with the Cinque Terre. I had researched local tour companies before we left and found many expensive private tours. We opted for essentially a hop on hop off boat trip to the 5 villages. The Company was Consorzio Marittimo Turistico 5 Terre. Purchased tickets in the port terminal and it was a short walk to the boat. The boat works to a timetable and you could get off at any of the villages you wished. We went to the furthest village and worked our way back, stopping to explore the little streets, have lunch, soak up the beauty. We have 2 boys so did not want to walk between the villages, we enjoyed viewing each village from the sea - just beautiful!
The port itself is not the most beautiful but we spent 3 nights in Genoa and loved our time here exploring the small streets of the old town. We got the train to Saint Margarita one day and walked to Portofino - a particular highlight!! (But not 30 mins as advised!! ;-)
The aquarium was also fantastic! Enjoy the Focaccia and Pesto!!
