Review summary

Ship is starting to show signs of wear. We had mold in shower and lot of rust on balcony doors. Overdue for preventative maintenance? Buffet restaurant on Deck 11 is always overcrowded, noisy, and busing service is poor. Seems to be lack of supervision of the waiters. Food is kind of bland and pretty much unchanged entire cruise. The lack of attention is obvious . Sugar Free or Diabetic desserts almost non existent. . Charge for bottled water.

Food in main Din. Room early sitting was OK. Our waiter was fantastic and you could order as much as you wanted. Portions were small. Limited diabetic desserts to ice cream only.

Entertainment

At best OK. Several shows just repeat of earlier shows. Several so called entertainment events were just pure jokes. On one quiz show narrator could not even speak passable English. Felt some were not qualified.

On three occasions I contacted ship accounting and reception they spoke very little English or GE and failed to give me satisfactory answer.

Ship map was not available until 2 or 3 rd day of cruise? Did not know they even had one until I saw a fellow passenger with one.

Cabin / Stateroom

Clean and our house keeper a young lady did a fantastic job. She make up the room quickly and nicely. Shower is very small. If you are a large person you will not be able to use. One time toilet stopped up and took about hour to get it fixed. It was a entire side of our floor outage. Not sure why?

Go to city center. Why did ship dock at Industrial Port which is far from city and then sell shuttle bus tickets for Euro 14. Cruise port is much closer to city center. Another cost cutting move at our expense. It is too far to walk to city from Industrial port.

Great city. Was not explained that you can catch a water taxi just outside the boat that will not only take you to the almost center of city but you can do a get on get off. I think the Excursion Dept wants you to use their expensive tours and do not make any info available that would encourage you to visit on your own.

Easy to walk to center of city and palace. Again no explanation as to what city buses you could use. It is 26 but I found out myself. Do not buy anything at the shops where the ship berths. They are overpriced and rip you off. Walk to the city.
