Due to weather, our cruise missed Port Canaveral and Ocean Cay. Instead we had an extra day at sea and a stop in Miami. Was fine with me.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
I got to the terminal, waited for maybe 2 parties, checked in and was onboard in no time!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
It's a beautiful ship, just starting to show some wear and tear, but clean and well maintained. Considering the price paid, the ship was beautiful and new and the food was good (you can't expect 5 star cuisine when you're paying 3 star prices and getting a 4 star ship).
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Very different than my previous 2 sailings on this ship and on Divina. Much more robust activity schedule. Previously, I found their number of onboard activities lacking. Great improvement.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
This was the most improved area. Although the Carousel shows are great and also a great value, on my previous 2 sailings the entertainment in the main showroom was, well - let's just say - not good IMHO. Individually the performers were talented but when put together, it was a mess. This time I found the shows were very good and the cast much more like a cohesive company.
Service and Staff

Always great!
Ship Quality

This is my fav ship - not too big, not too small. Very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Fantastic aft balcony family cabin. It had extra space with 2 built in bunk beds. I didn't use them, but that additional space makes the balcony that much bigger (which was the attraction for me). It was a cabin that had a tub and a full couch. I've always wanted to tub, but on MSC you usually have to give up the couch. This was the 1st time I had a balcony cabin on MSC with the bed next to the balcony. It made getting into the closets much easier. I liked this cabin so much I booked it again before I got off the ship - except from the time I say it was avail on my phone to the time it was my turn to book, someone took it, so I had to go one deck down - which was great bc deck 10 aft balconies are the deepest.
Ship tip
If you like aft balconies, this is a great ship - except bear in mind the closest elevators are midship, around 155 steps. The stairs and elevators you see in the aft on deck plans are for crew only.
BCT was easier to get through than I imagined - both embarking and disembarking. Truly upholding the American tradition that we want to get to our vacation as soon as possible and away from it, just as fast LOL.
