Review summary

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas, the services on this island was very poor and unorganized, big line to get umbrellas, ran out of umbrella's after waiting 30 minutes. We had to go to a faraway location to get umbrellas and carry the umbrellas and put it in the sand ourselves. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and we couldn't find our family for a long time. Too many people to accommodate. As far as the island it was beautiful. The ship was too crowded and not organized. Not enough staff. Many of the staff didn't speak English. The buffet was very crowded and no one around to clean up tables as people left .They had plenty of food but ran out of coffee cups, plates and dinnerware daily.

Exit was a disaster and completely It was pouring rain. We were pushed out of the building into the pouring rain. We stood under the pick up area , People hovered over us and pushing us. Our Limo van couldn't get us for two hours. It was a horrible experience overcrowded and very disorganized. We couldn't get picked up and had to mov.

Is an Italian cruise ships, not everyone onboard speech English. Most officers speak English. This coming September 4th, should be a doozy (Labor Day weekend). I'm going to the next weekend! Fingers crossed 🤞

Sorry to hear about the different issues on your cruise. MSC first arrived at NYC Brooklyn port in April, I cruised w/ them In May 2023. When I cruised I basically experienced the same problems: Terribly long & poorly organized embarkation/disembarkation. Poorly coordinated services at the island & yes, had to walk in the blazing sun to try & find the umbrella hut, only to be told “it’s self service” “you should find your place first & then come back for your umbrella or carry it w/ me until I find a spot to place my umbrella”. Ridiculous! I thanked the attendants for their instructions & told them to keep it. There is so much they fail to tell you. I honestly thought that my experience(s), we’re based on MSC working out the kinks in a new port. It looks like that is not the case at all. I can’t understand why after hundreds of reviews since April, MSC has not worked on correcting these same repetitive issues every cruiser seems to be complaining about. They do the same thing every 7 days. Not every 7 months. By now they should have gotten the message. Or maybe they don’t care about poor reviews once they take your money. MSC a an do better.
