Be sure to visit the Anchor Bar. The bar staff is great together and very attentive. Mark will not only make great drinks but often sings with the musicians. The shows are good but not spectacular compared to other cruise lines. The ship is gorgeous and make sure to see a dome show.
Embarkation

From the time we drove up to the port to stepping on the ship took 1.5 hours. The process was smooth. While the line seemed long it was always moving.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We requested early dining but got 9:30 when we arrived. This worked out because we did shows first then ate. We were still out by 10:15 at the latest. That was with an appetizer, entree and dessert. Caution if you order a drink that has to come from the bar. There is one bar that serves the dining rooms so this may take some time. Butchers Cut was our favorite meal. Hola for a reserved lunch on a sea day worked out perfectly. The buffet has a lot to offer but doesn’t seems to change variety a lot. As someone who could live off of pizza, cheese and charcuterie… I was in heave. The pizza is amazing and try the variety of fresh mozzarella whenever it’s out. The food in the pub is good but make sure you know the hours for their kitchen. These are not published anywhere that we could find.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Good variety of items. The fitness center is a little on the warm side and could have a better view. The pools are a decent size. The adults pool is small and gets very busy.
Entertainment

Jesse and Russ Clark were must see performers for us. The shows in the Broadway theater are good but slacking compared to other cruise lines. We never had an issue reserving a spot or walking in.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone is friendly, seems to enjoy their jobs and work well together. Mark, John, Darwyn, and Barbara in the pub made our week. They always went above and beyond. Ed in the Edge Bar knew everyone’s names after day 1 and welcomed you back. That was my go to place for coffees.

Clean, great size for 2. This location was quiet and near the elevator in the middle of the ship.
Ship tip
Don’t believe all of the negative reviews and try it for yourself. The cruise will be what you make of it no matter who you sail or where.
The updated port and shops are beautiful. It’s worth stepping off to see the updates, grab a drink or lunch then head back if you have nothing planned.
BEAUTIFUL! We did the lighthouse tour to start the day. This allowed us to see the whole island and hear from someone who lives on the island. Plenty of bars and lounge chairs through. The food trucks never appeared super busy but lines for the main buffet. It did rain during lunch so I think a lot of people opted to head that direction.
Great review! I sailed on The Meraviglia in May basically at the beginning of their call to NYC. Your feedback could not be more accurate. Happy cruising y’all!
