The information center had no clue about the ship whatsoever. I am not sure if they were new at their job, but they could not answer simple questions.
Overall, it was OK trip due to unfortunate events at the restaurant.

Food and Dining

The buffets were OK, but the variety was a little bit limited. No midnight buffet, which was a disappointment. A lot of times the items on the breakfast menu were not available such as apple juice and Nutella for french toast. Eggs Benedict were cold and buffet deserts were the same as my local Chinese buffet (jello cups, really?) not impressed!
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
They had good activities, but poor execution on timing. For example, the pool slide was only open for couple of hours and ping pong table roughly available for 1 hour or so/day.
Entertainment

Shows and performers were good.
Children's Programs

Kid's club, arcade and bowling were nice and convenient. Staff was very helpful, however basketball court was hardly available.
Service and Staff

Our room steward Russell and bartenders were great. Very helpful and gave us some good tips.
In regards to waiters and hostess, they seemed to be totally lost and not prepared for the amount of passengers on that trip even though full capacity is 4,500 and at that time, the capacity was 3,000. Service was poor, staff was not aware of anything, they couldn't remember what we ordered and brought us wrong items because they were not writing anything down. An example: I ordered french onion soup, but I got minestrone, they didn't offer to bring me the right soup, it was a chore for them to get anything for us including drinks and also, we noticed that a family that was sitting with us at the same table with their kids on the first night, were never asked if they wanted any drinks, including water. To see the disappointment on their faces, left us with a lasting impression of this cruise line since we never experienced such a poor service on our trips.
We couldn't be late more than 10 to 15 minutes for dinner because they would not let us sit to enjoy our meal as a family. A lot of people were turned away and were not happy about it. On one occasion, my wife and kids were at the show "Way" which ended at 7:40pm, I was already at the restaurant L'Olivo D'Oro on time at 7:30pm, ordered all the food for my family so we wouldn't waste any time or the staff's time since they had schedule to follow. Upon my family's arrival from the show, my wife was halted at the entrance to the restaurant like a criminal with my kids and were not allowed to go in to enjoy the dinner that was already ordered and I emphasize, the food was already ordered by me. The hostess that was at that location everyday, refused to let my family in. When my wife called me and told me that the hostess would not let them in, I immediately came out to get them in the restaurant. I told the hostess I ordered all the food for my family, but she didn't care. She continued to prevent my family from entering the restaurant. We've never experienced such a horrible treatment. That shows me that that they would rather waste all the food, instead of letting us enjoy our meal as a family. To me, it looks like as if their management does not teach them the basics of hospitality business. Utterly unacceptable and uncalled for.

Ship tip
Book excursion upon arrival or when your are booking your cruise.
Beautiful island, nice layout, beautiful beaches, very clean. Good service for drinks and food. I highly recommend the lobster and cheese sandwiches at the food trucks (shacks).
We had a similar experience on divina we were 5 min late and they would not let us in the previous night we had sat at table for 30 minutes before we had a server and almost an hour before we got drinks and appetizers. We sail frequently but on other lines and generally as long as your within 15 min it’s not a problem I had hoped it was just that ship but it looks like it’s an issue across the line
Thanks for the review. I was in Meraviglia in January and had a great experience. If you were at a fixed dining time, they do need to have a limit on how long the wait so they will be ready for the next group scheduled at that table.
