Review summary

Overall, the best part of the trip was the private island. The beaches were beautiful. The ship was kind of boring in comparison to others I’ve been on and the dining experience was the worst I’ve had on a ship.

Food and Dining

I am vegan and it was very difficult to eat freely on board. The crew tried to accommodate me but there just weren’t enough options and sometimes I was made to feel like it was an inconvenience for them. They were also incredibly rude in the main finding room and would turn us away and separate the members of our party if we showed up a few moments apart. Several times we were yelled at unjustly for showing up to dine just a few minutes after our (extremely late) scheduled time. This was frustrating because it was the only safe dining option for me as all of the specialty restaurants could not accommodate me without a full days notice and the buffet had no labeled vegan options. When I would ask about an ingredients list they would tell me to just eat what I thought was probably safe….. Then we tried to go to a specialty restaurant (paying out of pocket) and they served me a really strange flavorless Mexican rice with tofu and tortilla chips after they multiple times mentioned I would have some veggies on my plate. I found it extra strange because we were eating at a Japanese restaurant and was still expecting Japanese food, just vegan. Idk why I got a Mexican dish after being served veggie sushi as a starter. I’ve been on two other cruise lines as a vegan and have always been taken care of and accommodated for. This experience really turned me off from this cruise line as a whole.
