A cruise is what you make if it . This cruise was magical for me as I wanted to decompress and leave the world behind for a week . I would have never thought that I would feel safer on a ship than I do on land during a pandemic! MSC is doing it right onboard . I could not have asked for a better vacation and look forward to my next cruise with them .
Embarkation

Was onboard within 30 minutes . Port parking was confusing as ship was in terminal 3 and had to park in garage G. There were shuttles running from garage back to the terminal . My understanding is that MSC will be using terminal F sometime in October and garage G is straight across from that terminal .

This sailing I was in YC, the food was most excellent. We did visit the marketplace buffet and found nothing wrong with the food . All I can say is this …if you leave the ship “hungry” then that is all on you NOT the food served. The quality of the food is no different than on other ships I have sailed with in the past . There were multiple buffet stations with a variety of foods served ! I found for my taste that salt and pepper were lacking , however it is very simple to add that myself and not complain .

It seemed that there was something going on all the time according to the program . Dancing , trivia , music etc…
Entertainment

On this sailing I choose to relax and rejuvenate. I only attended a couple shows . They were entertaining. Please remember that the staff have only been together a few short months and that there will be “hiccups” during the show. Practice makes perfect and time is needed for that !

The YC crew are amazing 🤩!! I encountered staff throughout the ship and everyone was cordial and helpful !

Cleanliness was 5 stars, crew always could been seen cleaning and wiping surfaces . This class of ship in not my favorite but everyone that cruises has a different style :)
Ship tip
There is a lot of glass panels ! It was hot and the sun shinning on these panels made it even hotter .
Ocean Cay is stunning ! Yes, it is new and the vegetation has not had time to develop to its full potential but has come a long way since being planted . The waters surrounding the island are beautiful!! I participated in the shipwreck snorkel adventure and was not disappointed, there were several species of fish to watch . If your idea of a private island is about water slides, pools and things of the such then this is not the place for you . However, if you enjoy the ocean and relaxing on the beach with a few excursions , then you will enjoy Ocean Cay !
I did the same thing with the parking. I was extremely upset after parking in G and realizing I had to walk so far back the other way just to board. I was glad they had a shuttle for disembark
