I’m glad I didn’t listen to all negative reviews on this site. My group of 28 had a blast. It’s not Royal Caribbean but it certainly was not awful and it had its pluses
Embarkation

No complaints re embankment. It went smoothly and did not take any longer than any other cruise
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
You only get iced tea or water in the main dining room if you do not have the drink package.
I did not try any of the specialty restaurants.
The buffets were ok but I was surprised and disappointed that they did not offer any non- pork breakfast sausage or bacon (ie turkey sausage or bacon) for people who didn’t eat pork.
The main dining room did not offer many options for ie vegan eaters. Royal seems to do a better job for vegan and vegetarian eaters
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I didn’t do any of the day time activities but they seemed to be a lot of activities in the evening. I loved the dance classes and karaoke
Entertainment
4 out of 5
I usually travel on RC so was not used to having to make reservations for the nightly shows and there were some that you had to pay extra for .
There was a wide variety of shows offered- opera, musicals, magic. The singers and dancers were very talented.
The cirque du soleil was ok and was an extra charge
The Broadway Theater
4 out of 5
Nice stage but make sure to make a reservation and come early to get a good seat
Service and Staff

No complaints.
Ship Quality

Beautiful ship. It was kept very clean
Cabin / Stateroom

The tv is on same wall as the headboard of bed and therefore you cannot watch tv from the main bed. It does face the curtailed area of room where there are bunk beds for those who have kids in the room with you, so they could watch the tv but not from the main bed.
The size of the room was decent but the bed is inches from the closet and can be awkward to get to.
The extra storage by the bunk beds, if there are only 2 people in the room, comes in very handy
Ship tip
Be open to the international flair of this cruise- the food, shows, the passengers on board. Don’t sweat the small stuff
Nice beach. Island still needs some development but the beach was great and water crystal clear. You have to pay a fee for beach chairs, however.
They need a more organized main eating pavilion. Lines were long and food not worth the lines.
On a positive note I traveled with a group of vegetarians who were very excited about the great vegetarian burgers offered on the food truck. Good job!!
Be careful. Ended up paying twice for time at beach because the taxi driver dropped us off at the wrong beach. Rather than waste precious time getting another cab and driving who knows how long we decided to just stay there and hoped for a refund when we returned to the place by the shopping area that sold us the package. They however were closed when we returned. We were out of the $25. Lesson learned- make sure the cab drops you off at the correct place. Get cab number and cabby’s name just in case. I don’t know if this was an accidental mix up or intentional scam but beware.
Also another group in our party rental a car. There was 1/4 tank of gas. They took a pic of the yak but the rental place insisted it was almost full and would not return the seapass until they paid the money. Again buyer beware of
