We are booked on the Meraviglia for nov 27th and on the MSC website it states “ swimwear, shorts and jeans not permitted“ for every restaurant and even the buffet. Now we can understand the dress code for dinner, every ship we’ve been on has similar, but is one is expected to dress for breakfast and lunch also?

Breakfast in the MDR was great and comfortable. I wore shorts and Hawaiian shirts or my khakis and polo’s. Not fancy but not pool store either. It was more relaxed than formal.

I'm going to tell you for real that I was on the Divina and I was on the Seashore and I wore whatever I felt like to the buffets and never had a problem. I also wore black jeans and white sneakers to the dining rooms never a problem. In the dining rooms shorts are definitely not cool, but, that depends on the maitre d.You'll enjoy yourself, don't fret.
