There's a hampton inn so close to the port that you can see the ships from the hotel. they have shuttles that will take you to the port. lots of places to eat, shop and buy last minute items for your cruise. There is even a publics market not far. Perfect hotel to relax and enjoy a day before the cruise. oh, I didn't even mention the space museum that's near by.

based on our previous cruises from different ports and cruise lines (including port Canaveral) I would see if you can switch your flight to the day before you cruise and stay near the port. you never know if they're will be flight delays especially in December

MSC has a transfer service for 25 each way to the port. I was on the ship at 11:15am

we got a shuttle through port to port shuttles at around 9:30
