Review summary

Overall, we greatly enjoyed all aspects of this cruise. Despite some minor opportunities for improvement, the crew of the ship made every experience enjoyable. Although we did not partake in any of the entertainment activities onboard, we did hear positive reviews from others, and the events we wandered past had engaged audiences and seemed very fun. Food and drinks were plentiful and had great variety.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was very smooth, having the designated arrival times made it feel very smooth on our way through the terminal and onto the ship. Having a quick scan through the assembly points and then freedom to make our way around the ship, with the buffet and beverages available, made the entire process very smooth and enjoyable.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Buffet had plenty of seating and consistent variety in options for each meal. Lines were never unreasonable, and service to the tables to remove used plates/cups/utensils was plentiful. The only negative feedback I have for the buffet is the malfunction of many of the call buttons on the tables. I would say I attempted to use it at least once daily, and it only worked 1 time. For dinner in the main restaurant (Quattro Venti), there was plenty of seating at the early dinner time, and my wife and I were sat with 3 others at a table set for 9 daily, making for a ton of unused space and a more uncomfortable seating arrangement. It would've been nice to potentially be sat at a table with just the two of us traveling together. However, the variety available to choose from for each night was vast, and there was always something available in each course that caught my eye. Drinks were always easily accessible in all areas, and there were never unreasonable lines outside of the pool areas. The main concern within the pool area is there is not a clear area to order at the bar with all the seats placed around it. Multiple times my wife waited over 10 minutes because she couldn't get the attention of the bar staff because of the guests who were sitting/standing at the bar blocking access.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools were never overcrowded, bars with trivia had plentiful seating and great service. Did not take part in any other activities.

Entertainment

Did not take part in any onboard shows or entertainment events.

Children's Programs

Did not bring children on the cruise, unable to provide feedback.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was amazing, I don't recall her name, but whoever serviced room 5014 was always friendly when we would see her and was always attempting to work around our schedule to be as efficient and out of the way as possible. Franklin in Quattro Venti was friendly, good humored, and was always a pleasant interaction when we went to dinner each night. Additionally, when we would see him elsewhere throughout the day, he remembered us and always made sure we felt acknowledged.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Common areas were clean every day, I did not observe any areas I felt were not up to standard for cleanliness.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I actually upgraded to an oceanview, and my cabin number was 5014, not 12048 which is the original booked option through delta cruises. The cabin was located in a prime location, just below our favorite bar, and just above the disembarkation area daily. Everything was kept very clean, and although small, it was very standard size for a cruise ship room so no complaints here!

Ship tip

It's often worth the walk to mid-ship to take the elevator if you're going to a location across the ship, as the elevators on the ends of the ship are incredibly busy, and you can wait 10+ minutes for it to arrive, and will likely hit multiple floor stops as you go up/down.

Disembarkation

Very smooth, since we had an excursion booked, we were all walked out together and prioritized over other guests in line to ensure we stayed in one group, it was very convenient.
