Review summary

Met a lot of wonderful people from around the world but the activities typically catered to the Latino culture only. It wasn’t very diverse at all. The food was hit or miss. A lot of miss.

Bathroom was outdated. The shower was clogged the day of embarkation. There was mold in and around the shower and the shower head needed to cleaned as well. My bed was rock hard. The first day I woke up my entire torso was sore as if I had worked out the day before.

I highly, highly recommend taking the Mayan Family and Seven Color Lagoon excursion. It was the best part of my entire trip. The family was very welcoming. The tour guide Eliot was phenomenal and extremely knowledgeable. Learning how to cook and see how the Mayans live was very heartwarming. The food they prepared for us was delicious. I don’t even care for flan and it was good. lol. The Seven Color Lagoon was absolutely breathtaking.

DO NOT do the party bus excursion. I was highly disappointed. We were only taken to the Belize sign, a rum store and a restaurant where we had to pay for the food. The food was not included as all of the people on the bus initially expected. We did not get to experience the city AT ALL. The drinks included were in old Hawaiian Punch containers. The host just sang along to random songs the entire time played from someone’s cellphone. I love a good party but this was not it!!!!!

Do not take the horseback riding excursion. It was an old wooded trail filled with horse dung and trash. There was no walk along, just a 10 sec walk through what resembled a lake/pond and there was dung floating in the water. Luckily it wasn’t high enough to touch anyone’s feet. The horses did not appear well taken care of either. The guides were super nice but that’s about it.
