Review summary

This is the absolute worst vacation I have ever had. I realize the cruise line can't control the weather but the lack of alternatives was pitiful. How some sort of refund or credit was not given to passengers just shows how little MSC cares about their customers. As someone on a fixed income that saved for this cruise me and my son were terribly disappointed.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
I given a hard time about my birth certificate and it took forever to get on.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food was not good and the hidden charges were ridiculous.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
There was very little to do. Especially considering the fact alternative plans were not made after missing the ports we were supposed to stop at.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Watching paint dry would be more entertaining.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
I never even met my room steward yet my credit card paid him an extremely large tip. Most of the ship personnel were jerks. Not all. But most.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The only positive is that the ship was nice.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
It was clean but the bed was not very comfortable.

Ship tip

Don't do it. Go on a Carnival or Royal Caribbean cruise.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

1 out of 5

Key West, Florida Did not visit port

Due to weather we did not visit this port but instead went to the dump. Nassau....

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas Did not visit port

We floated around in the freaking ocean instead of an alternative port. And not a mention of any compensation after a terrible time.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Not bad. We couldn't get off fast enough!!

Oops sorry 😞 thanks

Sorry 😞 but they should have at least refunded port fees, oh well. I know how it feels we missed Bermuda on the MSC Meraviglia November 13 of this year due to weather. We got $76 back for port fees and taxes. I can’t blame MSC but we were so looking forward to 3 days and two nights in Bermuda. Port Canaveral and Nassau instead. I’m putting in for the missing part on my cruise insurance hope to get some compensation. We have been on a lot of cruises and most of the time the weather has been pretty good. So all and all we’ve been blessed.✌🏾

Sorry to hear it didn't meet your expectations. First no one has control of the weather. If there is a weather issue no one is entitled to reparations. On your credit card charge, your cabin steward doesn't have access to it. If there is an issue contact your credit card company.

Weather does not entitle you to a refund

Weather is always the odd ball...

Sorry for your experience, also surprised the ship wasn’t able to take you to other ports because of the weather

I love reviews that begin: "I realize the cruise line can't control the weather" then they follow that with complaint after complaint about what the cruise line should have done to resolve weather-related problems. It just never gets old.
