Christmas Vacation Cruise 2016 by lyndekal

Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The shows were outstanding! Food excellent! Ship Beautiful! Great job!

The dining room waiters were very efficient and cordial, which made our dining experience special. The shows are the best by far on any cruise line we have traveled with.

Not Impressed by Marisela

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise ship is beautiful, sparkling clean, luxurious. The crew was all fantastic, very attentive, cordial. Vendors were Very nice and serviceable.

On the negative side:

Checking-in was a terrible experience, too many long-winding lines; 3 different endless winding lines. The checking-in system must be improved. The Wi-Fi connection was very poor and too expensive for the poor service provided. The so called CHEF has no idea what a PAELLA dish is or even looks like; he must look for the recipe. Overall, the food in the main dining was very extensive but not so goodl. The on-board activities were pitiful; bingo and exercises... not all inclusive. As I've experienced on other cruises; swimpool games, dancing classes, cooking, glass blowing demos, ice carving, karaoke, manual arts, etc. I must point out our assigned stateroom cleaning crew, Rocco, did a great job, he was fabulous, respectful and had a great sense of humor. "The Best of Atlantis" tour only takes you to the hotel, no showing of part of the island as it says. You just see what's on the way to the hotel. Note for New Cruise Ships: Improvement to shower size is a must. It is almost impossible for over-weight persons to shower without causing chaos. I am not an overweight person, yet the space provided is so minimal. It is my believe that overweight people are being discriminated. This problem exists on ALL cruise ships. I thought it should be addressed.

Wonderful Divina by takcir

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Divina is beautiful. My fourth cruise on the ship and it keeps getting better. The food is good, the entertainment is exceptional. All the staff that we were around went out of their way to help with whatever we needed.

MSC Divina 2016 by natishagordon11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

MSC cruise line is very good cruise. However as with many companies I just don't like some of the hidden fees and unexpected payments but overall Good cruising. Some of these are the expensive wifi, we have to pay for soda, we have to pay service charge $13 per day for the entire 7 day per person. If it were per room I would understand but per person is ridicilous. If i go to a restaurant with my family and pay tip. I pay overall..I don't pay tip per family member. The food needed more variety. It was not tasteful and there wasn't much cultural variety which makes one think there is not a wide variety of chefs. Despite all, it was a good cruise

It was okay by aquilar2

Food and bar service could use improvement. Entertainment was great. Excursion desk was rude and photo area and options for packages are horrible. The service in the dining room very slow. Room attendant very good.

Need improvement by wegocruising

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

The best part of this cruise was meeting new friends everyday. I did not like that most of the PA announcements were not in English. if there would have been an emergency those that only speak English would be out of luck.

Needs improvement by mjblaze65

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

overall food does not compare with other cruise lines. General daily maintenance i.e. carpet shampooing is neglected. Never been on a cruise before that didn't have a card in the room with the cabin attendants name or how to contact. Had two people in our group needing a wheelchair to board, waited just over an hour to get an available pusher, this despite one of those people holding "black member" status. MSC before expanding service in the U.S. would be wise to observe their competition.

7 night Eastern Caribbean by cookies710

I would recommend this cruise to other people for sure!  The dining room still needs improvement.  Too many kids running around the floors inside the ship.  The casino was great!!

Favorite part was the ship, the beauty, cleanliness and the entertainment!

my least favorite was to many children, babies, they were every where!  I saw a mother take her babies diaper off so that he could pee on the deck!  I also saw one mother breast feeding in plain sight at the pool, no modesty.  Now I breast fed my babies, but I concealed my breast.  I find that many people were rude, pushy, lacking basic manners.  I realize that you can't control your customers, I'm only venting.  Your emploees were excellent, kind, curtious and always helpful.

All in all, a very enjoyable trip. by kentonge

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean

We enjoyed all 5 ports of call. We did a Seqway tour of the walled city in Cartagena, which I'd highly recommend from a historical perspective. Then, a private van tour of Aruba with a local tour guide, and snorkeling in Grand Turk Island. Lots of good shopping in Curacao  and Nassau. It took the dining room wait staff a day or so to get things going smoothly, but, all things considered, they were very professional and personable, and by the end of the cruise we had a very good rapport with our assigned staff. One thing that could be improved upon is the drink package process. Instead of using a booklet of drink tickets, there should be a way to associate your drink packages with your card that had to be presented for on board purchases, etc. There always seemed confusion over what drinks the tickets could be used for. But, all in all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend.

A dream cruise by alfredetcecile

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean

We are cruising a lot on different ships but the Divina is fantastic.  The shows at night were extraordinary and the best we ever saw.  The staff is very polite and helpful.  The excursions were very good. The food at lunch and in the morning was excellent, a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables.  In the dining room in the evening, the food was not equal in quality and choice from one night to the other.  This could be improved. We were disappointed to have to pay for the lobster when it is free on other cruise lines.  We would recommend MSC.  We booked another cruise for September on MSC out of Rome.

Not the best by pattyfrys1950

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean

There were problems with our dinner waiter, not enough late entertainment food was not the best and ship to cater more to the European company than American. No I would not recommend this ship to anyone, nor would I recommend your method of handling your customers has decreased in the past few years.

MSC exceeded expectations by mwood1942

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The MSC Divina is a beautiful ship... very upscale.  MSC is breaking into the American market and they are doing it with agressive pricing and bringing the European experience to our shores.  Try them and I think you will agree.

Birds in Paradise by deniseredpowell

2 for 1 balcony was a great value overall.  We had a great time on our cruise the week of Nov. 12-19, 2016.  Entertainment was classic Broadway show quality. Crew members were polite and very accommodating to our needs.  We would go again and again and again!!!

Micheal Jackson's night was probably the most entertaining night for, since I didn't participate in everyone of them. okjioj'pko

good cruise with a few minor glitches by garaldcarr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: North America

The favorite part of the cruise was the great Italian food.  Second was the entertainment.  One negative part of the cruise was the constant bombardment of very very loud music all over the ship at all hours.  The only thing I can figure out is that the entire crew is deaf.   Could not understand a single announcement because of the over modulated splatter.   The worst part of the cruise was the disembarkation.  They don't have a clue on how to organize an orderly departure.    No announcement or information for over an hour because of problems in clearing the ship.  When they finally did let us off there was no guidance just a mad scramble to the gangway.   Worst I have ever experienced in over 40 cruises.

Yacht Club by PegasusGM

We had an amazing trip in the Yacht Club on MSC Divina.  The food was great. Loved our butler and the Top Sail lounge was so peaceful. Loved the piano music at night with a decaf expresso!
